We asked you to vote and 25 of you responded. Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts on this important topic. This is such uncharted territory. Hopefully it will not happen again in any of our lifetimes.
Many of you who responded also sent thanks and gratitude to the entire team. This means a lot to the many volunteers who work behind the scenes to help with the Association.
The most common opinion was to have an in-person meeting with masks optional; food could be offered or not, either way.
We have decided to hold an in-person meeting. We would encourage everyone to consider wearing masks for everyone’s safety and comfort, especially for those who are immunocompromised or undergoing treatment and care. I am so grateful for my health and my family’s health; I will wear a mask out of respect for them and for so many others who have ongoing risks and concerns about Covid.
We will provide bottles of water only. I personally will have a jug of coffee to keep me going as I usually do! People are welcome to bring their own drinks if they want. Our reasoning for no food or coffee is that we have several people who are immune compromised in our group, including several on my team.
We are trying to keep contact limited so everyone can attend and feel comfortable. Several people will choose to attend the meeting and leave when they are finished with reports or jobs.
As usual, registration is between 9:30am-10:00am, Saturday July 16, 2022. Please be aware of social distancing when you are at the registration table, and where a mask especially at that time. Masks will be available at the registration table.
The meeting will start at 10:00am. We have not scheduled a speaker but the mayor and possibly our councillor will speak for a few minutes. There will be no major raffle this year although a few door prizes will be given. The meeting usually adjourns at noon.
By the way, there are new proposed by-laws that everyone should look at. A public meeting will be held in August and again in January for comments and questions. You may wish to ask questions of the mayor and councillor at the meeting.
I look forward to seeing you all July 16 at the Orrville Community Center. There are several new owners in the last 2+ years so that is exciting — please introduce yourselves to us.
Membership dues remain $20.00 and can be paid at the meeting or before if you wish:
